LumeServe turns any folder on your computer into a web page that the other devices in your home or office can open — phones, tablets, laptops, a smart TV, anything with a browser. Choose a folder, press Start, and LumeServe shows you the addresses your computer is now answering on. Type one into your phone's browser, or just scan the QR code on screen, and the folder appears as a clean, tappable list. Open a file to view it, tap it to download it. There is nothing to install on the other device and nothing to sign up for. WHY PEOPLE USE IT Moving a few large videos to a tablet without hunting for a cable. Handing a set of photos to a guest without adding them to a shared album. Getting a document onto a phone that refuses to see your PC in its file browser. Letting everyone in a meeting room pull the same handout at once. Reading a PDF collection on an e-reader. All of it happens directly between your own devices, at the full speed of your own network. STAYS ON YOUR NETWORK Your files are never uploaded anywhere. LumeServe does not use a cloud service, does not have accounts, and does not need an internet connection at all — only a Wi-Fi network or a cable that your devices already share. When you stop the server, or simply close the app, sharing stops immediately and completely. YOU DECIDE WHO CAN REACH IT Set a password and every visitor is asked for it before they see a single file name. Leave it blank when you are on a network you trust and want the fastest possible handoff. You can also keep sharing strictly to this computer, so nothing is exposed to the network at all, which is handy for testing a local site. Only the folder you picked is ever visible. Files elsewhere on your computer stay out of reach, and shortcuts that point outside the folder are refused rather than followed. SEE WHAT IS HAPPENING A live access log fills in as requests arrive: what was opened, which device asked for it, how large it was, and whether it succeeded. It is an easy way to confirm that the file really did finish transferring, and to notice anything you did not expect. EVERY ADDRESS, READY TO USE When you share to the whole network, your computer usually answers on more than one address. Rather than guessing which one to use, LumeServe lists them all, each with its own copy button and its own QR code, so you can just try the one that works from where you are standing. FITS INTO YOUR ROUTINE LumeServe remembers the folder, port and password you used last time, so a repeat share is one click. It can open the shared folder in your browser the moment it starts, keep the computer from going to sleep in the middle of a large transfer, and start up quietly when you sign in. Available in English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish and Italian. WHAT IT IS NOT LumeServe shares files between devices you already own, on a network you already control. It is not a public website host, not a remote access tool, and not a cloud drive. If you want files reachable from the other side of the world, this is not the app for that — and that is exactly the point.
