Sobre

Diffdeck compares two text files side by side and shows you exactly what changed between them. Pick the earlier version of a file, then the newer one. Diffdeck lines the two up and puts them in facing panes that scroll together, so matching lines always sit across from each other. Added lines are marked in green, removed lines in red, and when a line was edited rather than added or deleted, the specific words that changed are highlighted inside it. You see the change itself, not just the line it happened on. WORKS WITH THE FILES YOU ALREADY HAVE Diffdeck reads plain text of any kind: notes and drafts, .txt and .md, configuration files, .json, .csv and .xml, log files, and source code in any language. Character encoding and line endings are detected automatically, so a file saved on one system compares cleanly against a file saved on another. There is no project to set up and nothing to configure before your first comparison. SEE ONLY WHAT MATTERS Long files are mostly unchanged, and scrolling past identical lines to find the edits wastes your time. Switch to the changes-only view and Diffdeck collapses the untouched stretches, keeping a few lines of context around every edit so you can still tell where you are. Jump straight from one change to the next, or search across both files at once. Whitespace-only edits and differences in capitalisation are often noise rather than real changes. Turn on the matching options and Diffdeck stops reporting them, so what is left on screen is the substance of the change. EXPORT AND SHARE THE RESULT When you need to send a comparison to someone else or keep it on file, export it. An HTML report opens in any browser and preserves the side-by-side layout and the highlighting. A unified diff produces standard patch text that developer tools understand. A CSV gives you one row per changed line, ready for a spreadsheet. You choose where the file is written, and Diffdeck can take you straight to it afterwards. YOUR FILES STAY ON YOUR DEVICE Diffdeck does all of its work on your computer. Your files are never uploaded, no copy of their contents is sent anywhere, and no account or sign-in is required. It keeps a list of your recent comparisons so you can reopen one quickly, and you can clear that list whenever you want. AVAILABLE IN NINE LANGUAGES The interface is available in English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish and Italian, and follows your system language the first time you open it. COMMON USES Check what a colleague changed in a shared document before accepting it. Find the one line that differs between a configuration file that works and one that does not. Confirm which entries moved in an exported data file. Review your own edits between two drafts. Compare two log files captured before and after a change.
