Seam translates text of any length entirely on your own computer. Paste a paragraph, an article, a chapter or an entire manuscript. Seam runs an AI translation model directly on your machine, so nothing you paste is ever uploaded and no internet connection is used while a translation runs. Your words stay where you put them. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Most translation tools send your text to a server. Seam does not. The model lives on your computer, the translation happens on your computer, and the result is saved on your computer. There is no account to create, no sign-in and no usage limit. Once you have downloaded a model you can disconnect from the internet entirely and Seam keeps working exactly the same way. This makes Seam a good fit for the text you would hesitate to paste into a website: unpublished writing, client documents, legal and medical material, internal reports, research notes or personal correspondence. NO LENGTH LIMIT Seam is built for long text. There is no character cap, no prompt to upgrade in order to translate more, and no mode to switch on. Paste as much as you want and Seam handles it. Long passages are translated steadily from beginning to end and the translation appears on screen as it is produced, so you can start reading before the whole thing has finished. If you close Seam in the middle of a long translation it picks up where it stopped instead of starting again. THREE MODELS, YOUR CHOICE Seam offers three translation models so you can match quality to your computer and your task: Swift - the fastest and lightest, ideal for quick passages and everyday text. Balanced - natural long-form translation with strong context retention, the best choice for most writing. Pro - the highest fidelity, for nuanced prose, research and work headed for publication. You choose which one to download, and you can switch at any time or remove one to reclaim disk space. Models are never installed without your knowing. 23 LANGUAGES Translate between English, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Portuguese, Arabic, Hindi, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Malay, Turkish, Polish, Dutch, Ukrainian, Czech and Hebrew, in either direction. SIDE BY SIDE The source text and the translation sit next to each other. As Seam works through a long passage the section being translated is highlighted on the left while the finished translation grows on the right, so you always know where you are. Pause whenever you like and resume later. HISTORY THAT STAYS TIDY Every translation is kept on your computer and can be searched and revisited. Small edits to a text you have already translated update the existing entry rather than filling your history with near-duplicates, so a piece you revised five times stays one item instead of five. WHAT SEAM DOES NOT DO Seam does not upload your text. It does not collect analytics. It does not require an account. It does not ask for payment to translate more.
